Privacy Policy

This policy explains what EatGatherLove collects when you use this kitchen visualizer, why, and what happens to it. Effective 4 September 2026.

The short version

You can preview your first room without giving us your name. Upload a photo, see it renovated, and leave — we will not know who you are and nobody will contact you.

After that, previewing more kitchens needs a free account: a name, an email address and a password. That account exists so your kitchens are saved and come back to you. Creating one does not tell anyone at EatGatherLove that you exist, and it is not an enquiry — nobody calls you unless you separately ask for a quote.

We only get your phone number and your enquiry if you choose to ask for a quote, and we only use them to reply to you about your renovation.

We do not sell your information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other websites.

The photos you upload

When you use the visualizer, the photo you choose is uploaded to our server, resized, and sent to our AI image provider (OpenAI) so it can generate the new version. Your original photo and the generated image are both stored on our server so you can look at them, compare them, and come back to them later.

Please don't upload photos with people in them. The tools are for rooms and yards, and photos where a person is the subject are rejected automatically.

Your account

Your first preview is anonymous. To preview more rooms you create a free account, which stores your name, your email address and your password.

Your password is never stored as you typed it. It is put through a one-way function (scrypt) designed to be slow and memory-hard, so the stored value cannot be turned back into your password — not by us, and not by anyone who obtained a copy of it.

Being signed in is what lets your saved rooms follow you to another browser or device. When you sign up, the room you previewed anonymously before registering is attached to your new account so you do not lose it.

Signing in sets a cookie that keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary for the account to work, it cannot be read by scripts on the page, and it is not used for advertising or tracking.

An account is not a marketing list. We do not email you because you registered.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from My Kitchens — no need to email and ask. It removes the account, every kitchen saved to it, and the photographs you uploaded for them.

Two honest caveats. Any result link you previously shared with someone stops working. And if you had already asked us for a quote, that enquiry is a business record of the job and is kept separately, as described below — deleting your account does not withdraw it.

Contact details you give us

We use these to respond to your enquiry and to arrange a site visit and quote. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.

Cookies and analytics

We record basic, non-identifying usage events — which tool was opened, whether a render succeeded — so we can tell what is working and what is broken. These are not tied to your identity and are not shared with advertising networks.

We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not follow you across other websites.

Who else sees your information

How long we keep things

Generated images and the photos behind them are retained so you can return to them. If they are saved to an account, they are kept until you delete that room or the account.

Enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to respond, to quote, and to keep a reasonable record of the job — a builder needs to be able to look back at what was discussed.

If you want your photos, images or enquiry deleted, email Pam.Jordan@EatGatherLove.com or call 615-512-1877 and we will action it and confirm once it is done.

Keeping it secure

The site is served over HTTPS, and the images and enquiries behind it are held on access-controlled servers.

Passwords are stored only as a slow one-way hash (scrypt), never in a form that can be read back. Sign-in sessions use a cookie that scripts on the page cannot read, which limits what a flaw in the site could expose.

No system is perfectly secure, and we would rather say that plainly than imply otherwise. If we ever became aware of a data breach likely to cause you serious harm, we would notify you, and any authority we are required to notify in your state.

Children

This site is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 15.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email Pam.Jordan@EatGatherLove.com or call 615-512-1877.

We handle personal information in line with applicable United States federal and state privacy law. Residents of some states — California among them — have additional rights over their personal information, including the right to know what we hold, to have it deleted, and not to be discriminated against for asking.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy matter, contact us first so we can try to put it right. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to your state attorney general’s office or, where it applies, the relevant state privacy regulator.

Changes

If this policy changes in any material way, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
